Carrie Lennox was raised in Northfield, Minnesota. In 1992 she graduated from Colgate University with a degree in religion. She has spent the past twelve years teaching seventh-grade history at Breck School in Minneapolis. While at Breck, Carrie has been the Head Varsity track coach, worked as the Middle School Multicultural Coordinator, and spearheaded a campaign to create a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration, which has become an annual school event. Carrie’s professional and volunteer experiences have always been connected with kids and education. She worked with Upward Bound, helping prepare high-school students for college, and Carrie has also served as a “Big Sister” with the Big Brother/Big Sister Organization. Despite having spent most of her life in Minnesota, Carrie truly dislikes Minnesota winters. A love of traveling is her escape from the blustery, freezing climate.
